The Prototype
A compact and stylish kitchen-countertop appliance that recycles, dehydrates and processes everyday food waste into dried organic fertiliser granules to combat patchy lawns.
Partnering App
Using Figma, I developed a quick app to keep track of the status of your BioBlender from anywhere. The app also features a heavily researched recipe book that includes which ingredients the user can utilise to troubleshoot issues in their garden.
The Idea
The BioBlender was designed with the user in mind from the get-go.
The initial idea came from an observation of my mom (an avid home gardener) who would turn our kitchen scraps like eggshells into fertilizer for her plants. Her process was messy and often involved damaging at least one of our kitchen appliances.
When we started ideating she became our main point of criticism and feedback throughout development.
